Whether you're a seasoned crafter or just picking up a paintbrush for the first time, our DIY craft kits are designed to make creating fun, relaxing, and totally doable. Each kit includes carefully cut wood pieces made from 1/8-inch MDF (medium-density fiberboard), precision-cut using a high-quality laser.
Why MDF? We’re glad you asked! This material is a favorite among crafters for a reason:
– Say goodbye to splinters or rough spots. MDF is silky-smooth and ready for paint right out of the box.
– Perfect for signs, shelf sitters, banners, and more, without the bulk of solid wood.

🧰 What’s Included (and What’s Not)
Each kit comes with the laser-cut wood pieces only. Paint, glue, brushes, and embellishments are not included – and that’s by design! One of the things our customers love most is the freedom to personalize each piece. Whether your style is farmhouse, boho, modern, or bright and whimsical, you can customize every kit to match your home and taste.
This approach makes your finished project truly one-of-a-kind – and means you can use paints and supplies you already have or pick ones that match your decor perfectly. No extra jars of paint in colors you don’t love, and no waste!
✂️ Supplies You May Want to Have on Hand
Before getting started, we recommend gathering a few basic craft supplies to make the most of your DIY kit experience. Here’s a handy list of things you might want to keep in your crafting toolbox:
-Paint (I like DecoArt but any brand will work)
-Paint markers for small pieces and accents (I like Posca)
-Makeup sponges and paint brushes
-Glue (I like Rapid Fuse super glue)
-Sanding block or nail file for smooth edges
-Baby Wipes or paper towels for quick clean-up
-Aluminum foil sheets or paper plates for paint
Don’t worry – you don’t need everything listed here to get started. In fact, many of our customers create beautiful projects with just paint and glue. But having a few go-to supplies ready can make the process even more fun (and a lot less messy).

🪵 A Few Tips Before You Start Crafting
Our DIY craft kits are designed to be easy and fun to use—whether you're painting mini signs, shelf sitters, or adorable earring sets! Each piece is cut from high-quality MDF using a precision laser, and occasionally you may notice a little "flashback" residue (a light discoloration from the laser). No worries—it’s totally normal and not a defect.
Here are a few simple tips to help you prep your pieces and get started:
- Wipe away residue using a baby wipe, damp cloth, or a bit of fine sandpaper if needed.
- Handle with care, especially when working with smaller or delicate pieces. We recommend using low-tack painter’s tape to gently secure them while you work.
- Paint, stain and create! Once your pieces are prepped, you're ready to start customizing. This is where the magic happens—make it your own!
If you notice any tiny pieces still attached inside the cutout shapes, just give them a gentle push—they’re designed to pop right out.
✨ You might also see small “tabs” holding pieces in place. These help keep small pieces secure during the cutting and shipping process so nothing gets lost. Simply pop the pieces out before painting.
