Gathered and Grateful Turkey Door Hanger October 2026

Add a little personality to your Thanksgiving décor with our Give Thanks Turkey Door Hanger from the Gathered & Grateful Collection!

This whimsical turkey is dressed for Thanksgiving in his pilgrim hat and surrounded by colorful layered tail feathers, with a “Give Thanks” sentiment across the bottom. With lots of separate layers and fun details to paint, this is one of those projects that's just as much fun to create as it is to display!

Finished Size:
Approximately 16" tall x 14.5" wide

Display your finished turkey on a door, wall, entryway, or alongside your favorite Thanksgiving décor. Paint him in the warm, vintage-inspired colors shown in our example, or choose your own palette to coordinate with your home.

Your DIY kit includes:
• Turkey base and layered pieces
• Layered tail feathers
• Pilgrim hat and coordinating details
• “Give Thanks” lettering
• Twine for hanging

All wood pieces are laser cut from 1/8" MDF and arrive unfinished and unpainted. The layered construction makes painting easier—simply paint your individual pieces, then glue everything together once you're finished.

🎨 PLEASE NOTE:
This listing is for an unfinished DIY wood kit. Paint, brushes, glue, ribbon, raffia, bows, buttons, fabric embellishments, and other decorative accessories shown in the finished example are not included.

A note about outdoor use:
Although this piece is designed as a door hanger, MDF is not recommended for direct outdoor exposure. For best results, display it indoors or on a well-protected covered door where it will not be exposed to rain or excessive moisture.

Whether you're crafting for yourself, hosting a fall paint night, or looking for a fun project to create before Thanksgiving, this little turkey is ready to bring some handmade charm to the season.
